Family Mediation gives separating couples the chance to sit down with a mediator to make decisions about the future of their family. Parents can consider and plan the arrangements for their children, and how they are going to parent their children. Couples can decide how their finances should be divided. Family Mediation gives couples control; it is more conciliatory; and can save a lot of money. A good mediator will help parents make these decisions, and provide lots of information along the way.
Family Mediation Week is to let more people know about the benefits of Family Mediation. This web page has a great explanation, and videos.
The aim of Family Mediation Week (23-27 January 2017) is to let more people know about the benefits of family mediation, and to encourage separating couples to consider family mediation as a way of helping them to take control of their situation and to make decisions together. We are releasing videos every day during the week to get this message out. The special Family Mediation Week website site http://www.familymediationweek.org.uk contains more information that families and mediators alike may find useful.
