So, last Wednesday an intrepid bunch from the Hedges’ residential property team made their way to the NEC for the LFS conference and awards!
Having spent the day learning about best practice in residential conveyancing we donned our ballgowns and had maybe just a couple of drinks to calm our nerves whilst waiting for the award winners to be announced. Would we or wouldn’t we be able to match our success in 2016 when we won top prize for the best small conveyancing firm in the south?
As it turned out we’ve moved into the Midlands this year (who knew!) and it also seems that competition in the Midlands is tougher… we only managed second place and a “Highly Commended” award.
Whilst we are of course very proud of this achievement we’re already thinking of ways to up our game for next year.. who knows by then we might be part of the northern region where competition may be even tougher so we’d better get working on that fantastic client feedback now!
Small Conveyancing Firm of the Year
In order to recognise that the vast majority of conveyancing is transacted by many smaller and regional firms who offer a very high standard of service, we introduced this award for the first time in 2016.
A small firm will be defined as one who completed less than 50 transactions for value (purchase cases) during the month of September 2017 Using the Land Registry figures for September 2017 excludes the top 375 law firms by case volume.
