What better subject for my first post of 2017 than sharing some great ideas. In the lead up to TEDx Oxford, which we are sponsoring, we will be posting some our favourite TED Talks; sharing things that have inspired or us or made us look at things differently.
In case you don’t know what TED is, it is a non-profit organisation dedicated to spreading ideas via short talks given at events all over the world. It is now the largest global community for spreading ideas and shares its content for free online. There are over 2,300 TED talks available for free via TED.
TEDx events are locally organised TED events. Since 2009 there have been over 15,000 TEDx events in over 3,100 cities worldwide. When I wrote this article, TEDx talks had been viewed 1,176,112,229 times on YouTube!
TEDx Oxford 2017 event promises to be the best in Oxford yet, bringing together 12 speakers to talk about their take on the theme “X Changes Everything”. The speakers include CEOs, entrepreneurs, professors, psychologists, writers, students, innovators and technologists. It is guaranteed to be a thought provoking day!
