Marriage revokes previous wills and therefore this lady’s estate would have passed entirely to her new husband, whom she married when suffering from advanced dementia.
Surely more needs to be done by Registrars to check capacity to marry.

Fabian Hamilton, MP for Leeds North East, is urging the PM to stop elderly and vulnerable people being preyed upon by tricksters leading to families losing their inheritance. Mr Hamilton will raise the question at PMQs after two years of campaigning to address the issue, reports inews.
